Mourinho '4G disciplined', quits UEFA advisory board in 24 hours...notified by email

Jose Mourinho, 60, has resigned from the UEFA advisory board.

"AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has resigned from the advisory committee of the European Football Association (UEFA)," the British newspaper The Daily Star reported on March 23 (KST).

On Feb. 22, Mourinho was handed a four-match ban for swearing at referee Anthony Taylor during the Europa League final. 메이저놀이터

Roma played Sevilla in the 2022-2023 Europa League final at the Pushkász Arena in Budapest, Hungary, on Jan. 1, losing 1-4 on penalties after a hard-fought 1-1 draw after 120 minutes.

"It was a very intense and masculine game with a referee who looked Spanish," Mourinho said in a press conference, "yellow card after yellow card, yellow card after yellow card. When Erik Lamela should have gotten a second yellow card, there was no yellow card, and in the end, Lamela succeeded in the penalty shootout, so it was an unfair game," he said.

Mourinho chased Taylor through the parking lot after the press conference and hurled insults at him.

Mourinho was eventually referred to the disciplinary committee for abusive language after the game and received a four-match suspension.

After the punishment was handed down, Mourinho informed UEFA's football advisory committee chairman Zvonimir Boban of his decision to resign by email, according to reports.

In the email, which was published by 메이저토토사이트 the Daily Star, Mourinho wrote: "Thank you for recommending me to the UEFA Football Advisory Committee. Regrettably, I will be stepping down from this position. I feel that the 'conditions' that I believed so strongly in when I joined the organization no longer exist and I had to make a decision. Please convey these words to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin," he wrote.
